  • We understand that starting therapy can feel like a significant step, and our goal is to help you feel at ease throughout the process. To prepare for your session, we recommend finding a private, comfortable space and having a glass of water on hand as you join your appointment via the provided link.

    The first session is an opportunity to get to know you, explore the concerns that brought you to therapy, and discuss your goals and expectations. Together, we will identify your needs and establish how we can best collaborate to create a supportive and effective therapeutic experience.

  • Sessions typically last 50 minutes. A fee of $210 per session.

    A Medicare rebate and private health cover rebate may be available for your psychology sessions (see referrals)

  • With Care Psychology exclusively offers telehealth sessions. Research has demonstrated that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions. Our goal is to provide a seamless and comfortable experience, ensuring you receive the highest quality care from the convenience of your own space.

     Telehealth sessions are conducted via a secure video conferencing platform, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home. Before your appointment, you will receive a link to join.

     All you need is a stable internet connection, a device (i.e., smartphone, laptop, computer, tablet), and a private space where you can speak freely.

  • We welcome self-referrals, Mental Health Care Plans, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) referrals, and Private Health Fund claims. No referral is required to schedule an appointment.

    Mental Health Care Plan
    We offer psychological services under the Medicare Better Access Program. If eligible, you may access a Mental Health Care Plan through your GP, which provides a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. A gap fee of $113.35 per session applies.

    To access this benefit, please arrange an appointment with your GP to discuss a referral. You are welcome to schedule your session with us prior to obtaining the referral.

    Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
    We accept DVA referrals for eligible White and Gold Card holders. Please arrange an appointment with your GP to obtain a D0904 referral, which can be used for psychological services.

    Private Health Fund
    We provide invoices for our services, which you can submit to your private health fund for potential rebates, depending on your coverage. Please contact your private health fund directly to confirm your eligibility and benefits.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a key aspect of therapy. We will not share any details about your sessions without your consent, except in certain situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

  • We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To ensure we can offer your appointment time to another client, we kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes.

    A reminder message will be sent via SMS 72 hours prior to your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time, or failure to attend your appointment without prior notice, will incur a fee.
