Fees & FAQ

  • $210 for a standard 50-minute session with Psychologist Ashlea.

    A Medicare rebate and private health cover rebate may be available for your psychology sessions (see referrals)

  • We accept self-referrals, Mental Health Care Plans, DVA and Private Health Funds. You do not require a referral to schedule an appointment.

    Mental Health Care Plan

    We provide psychological services under the Medicare Better Access Program. You may be able to access a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP. If eligible, you will receive a Medicare rebate of $96.65 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. This leaves a gap of $113.35 per session.

    Arrange an appointment with your GP to discuss further. You may schedule an appointment with us prior.

    Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)

    We accept DVA referrals for white and gold card holders. Arrange an appointment with your GP to obtain a D0904 referral.

    Private Health

    We will provide you an invoice which you can provide to your private health fund and if eligible you may receive a rebate. Contact your private health fund to clarify your cover.

  • We know it’s often a big step engaging in therapy and we aim to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. Grab a glass of water and find a confidential space to join your appointment link.

    The first session is about getting to know you, what brings you in/your concerns, what might you need out of coming to therapy, how we can best navigate this space together to meet your needs, and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

  • With Care Psychology currently offers telehealth sessions only. We offer both video conferencing and phone. We prefer video conferencing and find it’s easier to see a friendly face when you come to session.

    Research has shown that telehealth services can be just as effective as in-person therapy. We aim to create an easy and comfortable experience. You will receive a link to join prior to your appointment time.

     To attend sessions, you will need a secure internet connection and a device (i.e., phone or laptop) which allows for video teleconferencing.

  • We appreciate life happens and you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  

    You will receive a reminder via text message 72 hours prior to your appointment.

    We require at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows adequate time for another client to take your appointment. If your appointment is cancelled within 24 hours’ or you do not attend your appointment, a fee will be charged.
